Interesting. Not the most exciting trailer. But is pretty cool to hear Alan Oppenheimer voice Skeletor again.

I agree. It also almost looks like a fan-made trailer, created using a software like Flash or something. I sure hope the whole cartoon isn’t going to be like that. But then again, I don’t think they will do it the traditional way using hand-drawn and painted cels, since that is almost obsolete now. So it’ll most likely be done on computers.

Some scenes look very poor indeed like Beastman running. Even the episode title screen isn’t as good as the art in the original episodes.

Exactly! And also Skeletor walking is a bit off. Like he’s doing the “moonwalk” but in reverse! LOL! :laugh

LOL I completely agree. Pretty disappointing to be honest. I could see by it if the cartoon had various characters that were never in the cartoon.

But what exactly is the purpose of this one episode? Is it:

To increase interest/sales in the MOTUC toyline?
To start of a new series of He-Man cartoons?
To help get the He-Man movie off the ground?

Well it’s Super 7 that made it.
I think it’s just to help sale the Super 7 MOTU merchandise. They make MOTU in vintage 3.75" Kenner 80’s style figures. They also made some M.U.S.C.L.E. style MOTU figures.
There was a rumour though that Super 7 might be taking over production of MOTUC and Thundercats. I guess no one will know until SDCC.

I watched the whole episode on YouTube. Except for Alan Oppenheimer, the voice acting was pretty campy.
