Just ordered he-man/thundercats #2 and I found my missing origins: Heroes and Villians to finally complete my thundercats comic collection.
Good for you. 
I will be getting this later today, of course. I hope the Thundercats start playing an important role soon. So far this has read like a He-Man series with Mumm-Ra as a guest starring villain and the Thundercats shoved far into the background.
And I hate the narration. Really disrupts the story flow.

Looks like this issue will be all about the Thundercats vs. Skeletor. Do you get the feeling that we won’t see the first meeting between He-Man and Lion-O until the tail end of issue 5?
I just hope this series re-energizes both franchises. I’m a huge fan of both classic series cartoon and comics. I really tried to get into the animated remakes of both but the kid in me was a little disappointed. I guess I was expecting a more classic feel geared to the original fans but I understand they need to update for a new audience at same time. But I am hardcore believer in the drawing animation and not cgi. I have upset few people in my family bc I said after disney started using Pixar and cgi (toy Story I believe) it all went to crap lol.

Its not so much things “turning to crap”, as its just changing with the times. Its just easier for companies to do things on computers than hand-drawn animation. If you get the same result or better with a simpler method, why not? As for the newer series, I enjoyed the newer He-Man cartoon, because it stayed pretty true to the source material. A lot of folks didn’t like the newer Thundercats because it strayed too far from the source material and didn’t really FEEL like Thundercats.
You mean issue 4. And I have that exact feeling.
