He-Man/Thundercats crossover comic announced.

I’m enjoying this series so far. Freddie Williams style I think fits well with the larger than life characters.

Interesting. Looks like the final battle will be against a Mumm-letor/Skele-Ra hybrid.

Comixology just revealed the official cover art for this month’s He-Man/ThunderCats issue:

Makes it look as though He-Man’s about to decapitate Lion-O while Lion-O’s about to shoulder block He-Man.

Lion-O’s eye appears to be better!

Just FYI, all the six covers are on display on DC Comics’ website.

Cool!

Thanks for the heads up Wilycub! I will have to head over there and see if I can track them down.

I am enjoying the series so far. The dynamic between Mumm-ra and Skeletor has been fun. I wonder if there is any chance of more Thundercats comics in the future after this series. Both seem to have been given pretty nasty and noticeable scars. Unless there are helped and gone by the time of the end of the series. But doing that would make sense if there were going to be more to come in the future and can always tie back to that or it could just be the writers way of implying that and increasing the epicness of the events happening. I know I would be interested in more Thundercats comics in the future. Now may be a good time to try to bring back limited Thundercats comics with comic sales and interest being so high. Any one know how the sales of these comics are doing?

I don’t remember the sales numbers but I seem to recall the first sold quite well followed by a sharp decline for issue 2 onwards.

Comixology dropped a sneak preview of issue 4:

Well, I gather from that preview that Lion-O’s plan to revive He-Man succeeds, only not the way he planned.

So very true.

Another thing about that is you would think Lion-O would know better. What good would come from Lion-O taking a dead He-Man to the headquarters of his #1 enemy? No good. Just EVIL.

Indeed.

Wednesday can’t get here soon enough.

Since it’s February now, check out Comixology’s reveal of the official cover art for He-Man/ThunderCats issue 5:

Is this for issue 5 maybe? Not bad, but not my favorite cover thus far.

I corrected it. That was a typo.

Decent enough cover. Showcases how Skeletor and Mumm-Ra are working together to obtain Castle Grayskull. Issue 6 cover should be a simple Lion-O and He-Man vs. Mumm-Ra and Skeletor pic with Grayskull as the backdrop or Grayskull and Cats’ Lair both.

This is the cover for Issue 6:
