He-Man World?

Is anyone here also on He-Man World? If so, would you mind contacting a moderator there about approving my forum signup? I’ve been waiting months while the site shows updates and the forum is active, yet I still don’t have permission to post or even view my own profile. I tried to contact them via e-mail a couple of times, but got no response. I noticed that the site encourages logins via Facebook (which is something that will never happen from me), so perhaps they simply ignore anyone who’s not on there. Or, perhaps it’s run by someone who doesn’t like my work, and so I’m being targeted specifically. I had hoped to answer a poster’s question I spotted on there about work I’d done with the MotU creators, but instead had to track down the user on my own to help him out.

Funny that you mention this issue… I ran EXACTLY into the same problem as you did ! Aaaaaand this is how I ended up discovering this very forum (heman.org) !

I did eventually manage to get in, about a year after my private signup info was left for all to see, whilst I waited for account approval. The owner had then recently suffered a loss, and so was understandably preoccupied. However, though I figured that the site would be my new home, eventually two issues arose:

First, within days of posting my Hyborian Age (Conan the Barbarian) adaptation for GURPS, I got IP-blocked, the same thing that happened when I tried posting it to the “Swords of REH” forum, a year or so prior. (Yeah, pretty obvious that somebody doesn’t want my free work competing with their “official” Conan RPG sales.)

Second, the owner turned out to be not such a fan of free speech as he first seemed, and my posts started getting edited or deleted just like at the Org. (The mods at the Org had silenced me when I went to bat for Mark Taylor by relaying what he’d told me about Mattel threatening to sue him, circa the 200X line.)

After leaving He-Man World, I turned to the Battle Ram Blog in hopes of getting coverage of my Battle Ram and Castle Grayskull prototype projects. In retrospect, I suppose it’s rather obvious that one doesn’t inherit the Org without being best buds with Mattel, yet I was surprised to be censored once again. :man_facepalming:

I hear you, and I understand you ! The .org can be pathetic at times, and while they do have some great ideas sometimes, they are (and remain unfortunately) Mattel’s bootlickers.
